OLD YEAR, NEW YEAR
Four seasons, cold, warm, dark, light,
Twelve months, the measure
This year of days and nights has passed
With so few thoughts to treasure.
The clock’s hands tick on, unstoppable
Upon their midnight climb
Santa Claus has now surrendered
To old bearded Father Time
Once more we face another year
Searching for a solution
To how we’ll live and how we’ll love
Whilst lacking resolution.
